Depth Workshops: Skylines in Glass
Two-part workshops in which you create a single design on two separate pieces of glass, creating a unique depth to your art.
Using skylines as our inspiration, we will each create a fused glass piece in which we see depth. Inspirational skylines include the Seattle Space Needle, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, London Bridge in London or the Empire State Building in New York. You create the skyline of your choice. Maybe you have another skyline that you’d like to create on glass.
In the first class you will create your background, or the image that is furthest away from your point of view. In the second class, you’ll create the foreground, or the scene/image closest to you, on another clear base piece, taking into consideration the design on your first piece.
Prerequisite: Participation in a Sip N’ Fuse class with Instruction or MoltenWorks Orientation is required to attend a Depth Workshop.
Included base shape options: Tray, large square, large circle (black, white and clear options)
Exclusively for these workshops, we’re making special sized base pieces, available as upgrades. Cost: $60
9 x 13 glass for a horizontal scene (slumped in an arch so your art stands independently)
12” round (garden art or table stand available as an additional upgrade)
